Parent Coffee / Greenwich Govt Presentation

Description

Ever wonder how decisions (like the school budget) get made? Who are the BET and RTM? How and who to vote for?

John Fisher, PTA Council President for the past 2 years who attended every BOE meeting and every BET meeting with the school budgets on the agenda, will present a non-partisan breakdown of the BOE, Board of Selectmen, BET, and RTM.

Learn how each of the town boards shape our schools (spoiler: it’s eye-opening!), discover how you can influence budgets, policies, and priorities. Get informed to speak up, show up, and make change happen for the benefit of the schools!

Whether you're a parent or an educator, a voter or just civic-curious, Greenwich Government 101 will pull back the curtain on the who, what, and why behind our town’s most powerful boards — from the BET’s budget battles to the RTM’s influence.

Come and hear the presentation, how our government works in regards to GPS, and learn how your voice and vote matter!
